#270 Red Plums and Blue Glass

Click to buy! (8x8 inch oil)

I'm posting things out of order because I painted this one before the pumpkins!  Painted because I like white and glass...also had some red plums on hand

#253 Warm Plums

This is the last painting I did of the plums.  I decided to use a mustard yellow because I thought it would look nice with the rich colors of the fruit.  I also attempted the white plate again.  I had to redo it several times, darkening the values.

#252 Plums, Plate and Glass

Click to buy! (6x6 inch oil)

I'm still trying to catch up on my blog post.  The photo is a little washed out on the left.  For this painting I tried a somewhat new perspective for me.  I also added a white plate, which usually gives me lots of problems :)  I used my spotlight (which I've now broken), and I'm still working on how to lighten the values where the spotlight hits.

Purchased some plums last week at Sprouts and I've painted a few pieces with them this week.  I've just been late posting them!
