I painted this picture from another photo taken during our trip to Wimberley. It actually looks pretty different than the photo. A lot of the trees in the photo were dead but I didn't want to put that in the painting. So I made it much more green than it was in reality. I might try to paint another one with more of the dead trees just to see what that's like. It's a peaceful painting to me. I didn't use any green paint...just mixed it all from blues, yellows, reds and white. Again, so much to learn! Each painting is just another chance to learn and try to figure things out. I really enjoy it though and hope that one day, 10 years from now I'll still be painting and be able to see so much progress!
